The Sorcerer and the White Snake

How much do you like Chinese?
The food? The people?

To begin with the movie, if you liked at least two of these lists that I provide to you about the Chinese, it'll be just a greeeeat movie to be watched by you:
1. The Chinese actor
2. The Chinese food
3. The Sun Wukong movie.

For the first option, I love Jet Li. Second, I love what the Chinese do with the pork! And for option number three, it's just a simple word whether you like lots of effects in a movie :) :)

I personally think that this movie is the Romeo and Juliet version of Chinese people. It's based on the local legend there about the snake white. So in many of their movies, the Chinese showed a demon-like creature. This demon can change into an animal-like creature with a great power to create illusion for the human or to fight their enemies (mostly are priest that intended to punish them to repent).

So in this story, there are the green snake and the white snake whose dreams are becoming a goddess by doing good deeds. 

One day, they met a scholar (more like some who made herbal medicine) who found his way to their mountain to look for a certain plants to be made as a medicine.so as story goes, they're  (white snake and the scholar) fall in love with each other.

The antagonist part (it's Jet Li  :) yay!) is Fahai, the priest whose goals are to punish those demon-like creature and force them to repent. 

In most of the scenes, this scholar man was having no knowledge about the existing of snow white. So at the beginning, in fa hai's mind the white snake was about to do harm for him. But as the story goes, he realized that white snake was just falling in love, and even helped this poor scholar man.


So the main conflict of this movie was even though the priest realized that the white snake was indeed doing good things, he must follow the basic rule: punishing demon-like creature.
So what's become and end for this loving couple? You should see Iit by yourself :)
